आपको बता दें कि हनुमान जी सीताजी के खोज में लंका गये थे और लंका त्रिकूटांचल पर्वत पर बसी हुई थी। त्रिकूटांचल पर्वत यानि की यहां तीन पर्वत थे। पहला सुबैल पर्वत, जहां कं मैदान पर युद्ध हुआ था, दूसरा नील पर्वत जहां राक्षसों के महल थे और तीसरा सुंदर पर्वत जहां अशोक वाटिका थी। इसी वाटिका में रावण ने सीता जी को रखा हुआ था और हनुमानजी की सीता जी से भेंट भी इसी वाटिका में हुई थी।
सुंदररकांड में इसी घटना का वर्णन है और सबसे प्रमुख घटना यही घटित हुई थी सीताजी और हनुमान जी का मिलन। यही वजह है कि इस कांड को नाम सुंदरकांड रखा गया
श्रीरामचरितमानस के सुंदरकांड की कथा सबसे अलग है। सारे रामचरितमानस में श्रीराम के गुणों और पुरूषार्थ को बताया गया है लेकिन यह कांड एक ऐसा है जिसमें राम भक्त हनुमान के विजय का वर्णन किया गया है।
सुंदरकाण्ड का पाठ सभी मनोकामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाला माना गया है। किसी भी प्रकार की परेशानी या संकट हो,सुंदरकाण्ड के पाठ से यह संकट तुरंत ही दूर हो जाता है।

The story of Sunderkand of Sriramcharitmanas is different. All the Ramcharitmanas have been told about the qualities and efforts of Shri Ram, but this episode is one in which the victory of Hanuman, the devotee of Ram, is described.
The text of Sunderkand is said to fulfill all wishes. Any kind of problem or crisis, this crisis is overcome immediately by the text of Sunderkand.
